Windows "Blue Screens" or unexpected shutdowns

Most Windows failures can be attributed to hardware problems. If your machine is over 1 year old, check that the CPU fan is still operating. Most of the inexpensive sleeve bearing fans are prone to fail and will cause the CPU to overheat with resulting strange Windows system failures. Also check the Power supply fan.

Also most newer video adapter cards have a fan that possibly could seize. The resultant overheating can cause system hangs and reboots.

Do not buy a computer until you have determined what Software you want to run on it.
